Canara bank is one of the largest public sector bank in India. The operations of this banks are spread all over the states in India. It has 6089 branches and 10559 ATMs. It started its operation in 1906. It’s headquarters is in Bangalore.

It is one of the leading nationalized financial institution in India. It is the first bank in India by providing credit card to farmers and agricultural consultancy services. 

They offer facilities like Credit cards, consumer banking, corporate banking, finance and insurance, investment banking, mortgage loans, private banking, private equity, wealth management, etc.

Canara Bank is the first bank to get ISO certificate. This Indian owned bank get ISO certificate in 1916 for ” Total Bank Branching ” of its Seshadripuram branch in Bangalore. Today Canara Bank holding an asset of Rs. 583,519.45 crore. The net profit in June quarter increased by 9.9% to Rs 251.6 crore. Operating profit grew up by 36 percent to Rs 2,472.38 crore.
