CBSE Initiating Examinations for ‘Problem Solving Assessment’ of  Class IX and Class XI Revised 

CBSE  is initiating ” Problem Solving Assessment” (CBSE-PSA) for the students of class IX and XI from second term of 2012-13. The exam is going to be held on 16 February 2013 (Saturday) between 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Sample question paper  and OMR sheet is available on CBSE website under Academic section. It will involve questions relating to student’s problem solving ability (PSA).

PSA (Problem solving Assessment) is conducted in schools and evaluation is done by Board. PSA is a 90 minute test which does not include textbook information but questions from mathmetics and english passage from old essays or contemporary fiction.

The board shall supply following documents

  • Attendance Sheets
  • List of Candidates registered for Class IX and Class XI for academic session 2012-13
  • Absentee Performa
  • The Question Paper containing OMR Answer Sheet

When the examination is over the school shall send sealed cover of the following datas to regional officer

  • Attendance Sheets
  • Absentee Performa
  • OMR Answer Sheets
