LG recently launched their latest curved smartphone LG G Flex 2 with attractive specifications. LG already launched the preceder LG G Flex with curved display. LG G Flex is the first phone in this series. You cane compare this two models from here.
Operating system and Hardware
LG G Flex 2 is coming with Android v5.0.1 (Lollipop)OS. The preceder is packed with Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. LG used MSM8994 Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset in G Flex 2, which has integrated Octa core processor (1.5 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A53 & 2 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A57) and Adreno 430 GPU. The old one is packed with MSM8974 Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. It has integrated 2.26 GHz Quad-core Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330 GPU. The RAM variants of LG G Flex2 is available (2GB/3GB) but LG G Flex is coming with 2GB RAM only. The notable difference in this section is operating system versions and core count in processor’s of both phones. New model is coming with Octa-core processor while old one is Quad-core.
Display and Camera
LG G Flex2 has 5.5 Inches Full HD Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions and 403 ppi pixel density. Old model has little big display. It has 6 Inches HD Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolutions and 245 ppi pixel density. Two phones are packed with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. LG used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 in LG G Flex2 instead of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 in old model. The notable difference in this section is display size and resolutions.
Both phones are coming with 13MP rear and 2.1MP front camera. LG G Flex2 is coming with little bit extra camera features comparing old one. The new one has laser autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash. All other camera features are same in two models.
Storage and battery
Two storage variants of LG G Flex2 is available in market (16GB/32GB). The LG G Flex is coming with 32GB inbuilt storage only. The plus point of LG G Flex2 is microSD card slot while old one is coming without microSD card slot.
LG used 3000 mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery in new model. The LG G Flex is packed with 3500 mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery. The battery capacity difference is not an import things because of low energy usage of new model.
Mobile network and other connectivity
Both phones are coming with 2G, 3G and 4G Connectivity but LG used CAT6 LTE in new one. The LG G Flex is packed with CAT4 LTE. LG G Flex2 can provide 300Mbps download speed in LTE network instead of 150Mbps download speed in old one. The 3G download speed is same in both phones.
LG G Flex2 and LG G Flex are packed with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared port, AGPS and microUSB ports. There is no difference in this section.
LG used Self-healing back panel coating in both phones. The new one measured 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm dimensions and 152 grams weight. The old model is packed with 160.5 x 81.6 x 8.7 mm dimensions and 177 grams weight.
The two phones have curved body and display. Comparing to old one, the LG G Flex2 is good in hardware and other features. The only notable priority in LG G Flex is display size but the display resolution is less than new one. In our opinion, LG G Flex2 is better than Preceder.
