The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati launched the all-new XDiavel for India at its NCR dealership. The bike available in two variants. These are the regular XDiavel and XDiavel S. Ducati XDiavel regular is priced at Rs 15.87 lakh and the XDiavel S Priced at Rs 18.47 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Recently Ducati has launched the 959 Panigale and Multistrada 1200S and Multistrada Enduro.
Ducati XDiavel motorcycle is termed as the ‘power-cruiser’. This is powered by Testatretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) engine with 1,262cc. Engine is capable of churning out maximum of 156bhp at 9,500rpm and develops a peak torque of 129Nm at 5,000rpm on ride.
Engine of Ducati XDiavel mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch for smooth transmission. The final drive on the XDiavel is via a belt unlike the usual chain. Ducati offers the bike in 2 models. These are the XDiavel and the XDiavel S.
Technically both the Ducati XDiavel motorcycles powered by the same engine and specifications. The only difference is that the XDiavel S will have a full LED lighting cluster, Bluetooth and an infotainment system. There is also machined finish on the alloys, engine covers etc.
The XDiavel packed with ride-by-wire tech. You can choose from 3 riding modes like Sport, Touring and Urban. Safety features includes ABS, EBD, traction control (Ducati Safety Pack), cruise control and the Ducati Power Launch.
The XDiavel is more of a cruiser with the low-end grunt. Ducati XDiavel supports 2 x 320 mm (12,60 in) semi floating discs in front and 265 mm (10,43 in) disc, 2-piston floating calliper at rear for safety and security. There is also Bosch Cornering ABS. Internationally, both the motorcycles will be on sale.
