Google Replaced G Suite desktop app with Google Drive File Stream

Google launched a new desktop application for G-suite users called Google Drive file stream which will be made available from September 26, 2017. Actually, it is developed as an alternate for  Google Drive desktop app that will be shut down on December 11th, 2017.

Using Drive File Stream, you can stream your Drive files from MAC or PC helping in freeing up disk space and network bandwidth and also decreasing sync time. Drive files are already stored in the cloud, if you or your collaborators make any changes in this drive file data  that will be updated automatically everywhere.

Drive File Stream are also used to access files in Team Drive, to stream files on demand and also to Sync individual files in My Drive. It will help you to access the files faster and  avoid the risk of downloading a large file to our hard drives.

Google is currently offering  15GB of online storage with Drive, and those files are accessible by Android devices, iPhones, and iPads. Google also introduced Backup and Sync in July to simplify the process of backing up files and photos in the computer.
