Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched their much-anticipated adventure tourer motorcycle. This is named as Africa Twin in India and available to purchase at Rs 12.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Booking for the bike also started. Honda Africa Twin adventure tourer motorcycle First showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in India. The bike will be assembled at Honda’s Manesar plant.
Honda Africa Twin adventure tourer motorcycle also called as the CRF1000OL. The bike launch delayed because of earthquake damaged Honda’s plant in Hamamatsu, Japan in June 2016. The bike need to compete with the Triumph Tiger’s 800cc range, Suzuki V-Strom and the Kawasaki Versys 1000. Powering the Africa Twin is an efficient 998cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine.
The engine is capable of making 94 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque on ride. The bike also packed with DCT transmission setup. Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin is a vehicle made for those wish to have true adventure. You can see, the bike is packed with a potent engine and dynamic chassis. Engine mated to six-speed manual gearbox for smooth transmission. There is an assist slipper clutch option. With this option the rider can simply operate gear shifts through triggers on the left handlebar – and two automatic modes.
