Doctors and health professionals always advise us to have fresh fruits,  vegetables, green leafy items, but in the current situation we cant have anything raw without proper cleaning.

Other wise the effect will be opposite. The recent study reports conducted in various reputed centers shows that almost all fruits and vegetable available in market contains toxic and unhealthy substances. The main problem is with the pesticide. If you care well during the precooking  you can eliminate these harmful things through simple steps and can consume healthy meal.

List Of Vegetables and fruits with High chemical and pesticide content

  • Coli flower, Cabbage
  • Carrot, Radish
  • Drum stick, Green chilly
  • Curry leaves, Mint leaves
  • Coriander leaves,
  • Capsicum, Tomato, Beans
  • Ladies finger, Cucumber
  • Brinjal, Ginger
  • Spinach,Celery leaves

Methods  To Remove Chemicals From Fruits And vegetables

Coli flower

  • Remove the stem and leaves
  • Separate the petals and keep it in vinegar/salt solution
  • Vinegar solution concentration: 20ml in 1 lter water
  • Salt Solution concentration: 20gm in 1 liter
  • Soak the vegetables for 10 minutes
  • Wash repeatedly well in fresh water
  • Make dry and keep in fridge in a plastic container

Cabbage

  • Remove the 3-4 outer leaves
  • Wash well in fresh water repeatedly
  • make dry by wiping with cotton cloth
  • Keep it in fridge

Carrot, Radish and Drum stick

  • Wash first in fresh water for many times
  • Keep it dry and store in fridge
  • Before cooking, scrape the item well and wash

Capsicum, Tomato, Green chilly

  • Soak the item in vinegar solution for 10 mts
  • Solution concentration: 20ml in 1 lter water
  • Make it dry, remove the stem of the item
  • Keep in fridge within a closed container

Curry leaves, Mint leaves

  • Soak the Items in vinegar or tamarind solution
  • Vinegar solution concentration: 20ml in 1 lter water
  • Salt Solution concentration: 20gm in 1 liter
  • 2 table spoon tamarind paste in 1 liter water
  • Keep it for 10 minutes
  • Wash repeatedly in fresh water
  • Keep covered with cotton cloth in container
  • Keep it in fridge

Coriander leaves

  • Remove the root of coriander plant
  • Before use soak in salt or vinegar solution
  • Time:10 minutes for soaking
  • Wash well in fresh water before use again

Spinach,Celery leaves

  • Cut and remove the route portion first
  • Soak in salt/vinegar/tamarind solution
  • After 10 minutes wash in fresh water
  • Make dry and keep in fridge

Beans

  • Scrub with soft scrub pad first in water
  • keep 10 minutes to soak
  • Use vinegar/tamarind solution
  • Wash well in fresh water
  • Make dry and keep in fridge

Ladies finger, Cucumber, Brinjal

  • Scrub items with scrubber and wash
  • Keep 10 minutes in salt/vinegar/tamarind solution
  • Make it dry and keep in fridge

Ginger

  • Wash repeatedly in fresh water
  • make dry and keep in fridge
  • Before use scrape the covering and wash well
