Hyundai i20 Active is an upcoming Hatchback expected to be launched soon in India around March 2015. Korean auto major Hyundai will make the global debut of i20 Active – new crossover model which is Designed at Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe in Russelsheim, Germany.
Hyundai desires to tap the 5 lac sales milestones in the country. This 5 seater packed with 295 litres boot space and 45 litres Fuel Tank Capacity. It is believed to be packed with the outgoing Elite i20 hatch’s 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.4 litre CRDi diesel motor.
Safety is well assured with Disc brakes in front and drum brakes at rear. Suspension of Hyundai i20 Active is McPherson Strut with Coil spring in front and Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with Coil spring at rear. Other features includes alloys, tubeless tyre, Auto Dimming Inside Rear View Mirror, Keyless Entry, Air Conditioner and Power Windows.
Hyundai i20 Active diesel model may powered by 1396 cc 1.4L U2 CRDi engine. The engine can churns out 88.7 Bhp @ 4000 rpm power and 219.6 Nm @ 1500-2750 rpm torque on ride. It is mated to 6-Speed Manual Gearbox and features Front-Wheel Drive (FWD).
In petrol variants, Hyundai i20 Active powered by 1.2 Dual VTVT Kappa engine will deliver 82PS power and maximum torque of 115Nm on ride. The car competing with the likes of Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura. Engine mated to 5-speed manual transmission for petrol.
