Hyundai Motor Group
The Hyundai Motor Group is known as a South Korean multinational conglomerate company, which is the largest vehicle producer in South Korea. It was founded on September 2000 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. This company is regarded as the world’s fourth largest vehicle producer behind Japanese Toyota, German Volkswagen Group and American General Motors.
They now hold 9 percent of the market share in the automobile industry in the world. Their key people are Chung Mong-koo (Chairman and CEO) and Chung Eui-sun (Vice Chairman). Their product range includes metals, stock, automotive, construction, finance, engineering, steel, mining etc. The Hyundai Motor Group has a wholly owned subsidiary called Hyundai Motor India Limited.
Hyundai Motor India Limited is regarded as second largest automobile producer in India, which was established on 6 May 1996 by the Hyundai Motor Company of South Korea. The company is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It currently has 475 dealers and more than 1,226 service points across India.
The key people of Hyundai Motor India Limited is Mr. Y. K. Koo (CEO). Their car models are Eon, i10, Grand i10, Xcent, Verna, Elite i20, Active i20, Creta, Elantra, Tucson and Santa Fe. The Hyundai Motor Group has another fully owned subsidiary called Hyundai Motor India Engineering (HMIE). Kia Motors Corporation (KMC) is now a subsidiary of the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group. Their parent company is Hyundai Motor Company.
