Idea Cellular is one of the largest telecommunication service in India with 196.05 million subscribers in 31 March 2017. Idea cellular is an integrated GSM operator that offers 2G, 3G and 4G services, NLD and ILD operations, and ISP license.
Idea broadband (3G &/or 4G) coverage and GSM mobile services will soon be available in all 22 service areas across the country. They introduce high broadband services to enhance Idea consumers. The main services of them are including business in voice based services, connectivity based services, location based services and fixed line data.
Idea’s efforts are on to introduce Live TV, Digital Magazines & Newspaper subscription, Video & Audio Chat, Rich messaging and Voice over IP services in FY 17-18. The market capital of Idea Cellular is Rs. 29,482.41 Crore.
In the June quarter 2017 idea cellular get Rs. 8,045.10 as income from their operations. Net profit rose 57% to Rs.728.2 crore during the quarter ended 30 June from Rs.463 crore a year ago. Idea’s mobile data consumer base rose by 2.6 million to 27.9 million. This included 10.6 million 3G subscribers.The overall subscriber base of the firm on 30 June stood at 139 million.
