The best news from ISRO is that the PSLV-C38 launch is successful. The Cartosat-2 with 30 satellites positioned in orbit and this is a proud moment for India. The 712 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite is made specially for earth observation and 30 co-passenger satellites.
The well known Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched 31 satellites from First Launch Pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre which is located in Sriharikota. list of satellites include Earth observation satellite Cartosat-2 series and 29 foreign and one Indian satellite. Earth observation satellite Cartosat-2 series is weighing 712 kg.
The total weight of the other 30 satellites is 243 kg. The PSLV-C38 rocket is a highly capable one which injected all the satellites into a 505 km polar sun sunchronous orbit (SSO). The co-passenger satellites includes 29 nano satellites belonging to 14 countries.
These countries are Austria, Belgium, Britain, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, US and Indian nano satellite. This launch is a part of the commercial arrangements between the Antrix Corporation Ltd (ISRO’s commericial arm) and the international customers.
