Mercedes-Benz S400 Launched in India with rich technical specifications and options. Mercedes-Benz S400 is the variant of flagship sedan, the S-Class. It is just launched at Rs 1.31 crore ex-showroom Delhi. S-Class luxury sedan comes in four variants.
These are S500, S350, the VR9 certified S-Guard and the more recently launched VR10 certified Maybach S600 Guard. Mercedes-Benz S400 packed with a V6 3.0 litres Turbocharged engine.
Engine makes 329 hp @ 6,000 rpm (245 kW) power and 354 lb·ft @ 1,600 – 4,000 rpm (480 N·m) torque on ride. It makes 88 mm bore and 82 mm stroke. Engine mated to 7-speed automatic gears.
Mercedes-Benz S400 sedan gets rack and pinion, electrical variable assist steering. Safety options includes Traction control, Stability control, 5 Seat belts, 8 Airbags etc.
Front and rear suspension is independent, pneumatic, multi-link type. There is also Disc (ABS) brake in front and rear. The car measures 5,116 mm (201″) Length, 2,130 mm (84″, including mirrors) Width and 1,496 mm (59″) height. Mercedes-Benz S400 sedan can achieve 210 km/h top speed. There is 79 l (21 gal) fuel tank.
