NEET 2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) Full Details & Apply Online
The NEET 2017 or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a national level medical entrance test regulated by the CBSE Board. This is the mandatory test to get admissions in MBBS/BDS courses offered by all government and private medical colleges in country. The NEET 2017 exam has replaced AIPMT exam.
If you want to secure admission to any medical/dental college (MBBS/BDS), the seats will be filled by the score of NEET examination only. There are no other exam except NEET will be held for offering admission into MBBS/BDS courses in India. This is applicable for all students from the year 2017. Only AIIMS & JIPMER are exceptions.
How to Apply Online For NEET 2017
NEET 2017 exam can be written in 8 regional languages. This includes English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu. To write the exam, all Indian citizen candidates should have AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. All candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details like name, date of birth & gender as per school records.
You have to be careful in entering all details, In case, if these particulars do not match, the candidates cannot fill the application form for NEET 2017. Aspirants can apply for NEET exam only via online process and the application fee can be paid through Paytm also.The Offline process includes Payment through the bank challan.
Application fee for NEET exam for OBC/General is Rs 1400. This will be Rs 2800 with late fee (Rs.1400 + 1400). For those SC/ST/PH the fee is Rs 750 and this will be Rs 2150 With late fee (Rs.750 + 1400). The NEET notification 2017 expected to be available from 15th January 2017. After filling the application form all those candidates are required to send the confirmation page along with required documents to the given address.

NEET 2017 Events Dates (Tentative)
Last date to submit the application form (without late fee) is Last week of January 2017. Receipt of confirmation page in CBSE (without late fee) should obtain before Last week of January 2017. Last date to submit the application form for NEET 2017 exam (with late fee) is Last week of January 2017. Receipt of confirmation page in CBSE (with late fee) should obtain before First week of February 2017. Those Admit Cards may release from First week of April 2017. NEET 2017 Exam Date may be 7th May 2017 and Result expected to be Declared by First week of June 2017. NEET Counselling will start soon After Result Announcement.
NEET 2017 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The syllabus for 2017 NEET exam comprises of four subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany. Most of the Questions will be asked from these subjects. There will be questions from 11th & 12th board (CBSE & NCERT) academic syllabus. You can also expect Some questions from the other boards syllabus. All Candidates are requested to get complete information about the officially prescribed NEET syllabus 2017 for exam preparation.
The question paper will contain total 180 multiple choice questions and you have to choose the single correct answer. Subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. The question paper will be available in 8 languages includes English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. The exam duration will be 3 hours and 4 marks will be awarded for each correct response. There will be Negative Marking and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
NEET 2017 Eligibility and Reservation
All Indian Nationals or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible for writing the exam. The minimum age limit is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission. The maximum age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved categories. All Students must passed/appearing 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology or any other elective subject with English are qualified for writing the exam.
Those Students have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45% (for general PH) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC categories) are also eligible for writing the exam. There is also Seat reservation for different categories. This includes 15% for SC (Schedule Caste), 7.5% for ST (Schedule Tribe), 27% for OBC–Non Creamy Layer and 3% seats (on horizontal basis) for Physically Handicapped (PH).
