Rumors suggest that, popular Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan may launch its Patrol SUV soon in India next year. Nissan recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in India with an event that allows customers to drive the company’s products including the Patrol SUV.
Nissan Patrol first introduced in 1951 and this is currently the sixth generation. Nissan Patrol is a full-sized SUV. This is powered by a 5.8-litre V8 engine that produces 400bhp of power and 560Nm of torque on ride. Technically the vehicle packed with All-Mode 4×4 drivetrain with Multi Surface Selection for a smooth ride.
It also gets Hydraulic Body Motion Control Suspension System to deal with any kind of road. Nissan Patrol interior is very rich and packed with options like 13-speaker BOSE audio system, electric tilt panoramic sunroof and intelligent cruise control. Driver and passenger safety is well assured with forward collision warning, distance control assist, lane departure warning & prevention and blind spot warning & intervention.
The SUV gets ladder-on-frame construction and this can handle a fair bit of off-roading. The Patrol gets three transmission options, including a manual. But in India, the Patrol is likely to be packed with the range-topping seven-speed automatic gearbox for class leading performance.
Nissan Patrol is a highly powerful rival against the likes of Toyota Land Cruiser and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. This performance model will be launched in the country next year. This biggest seven-seating SUV will be brought in as CBU units only. Nissan hopes for boosting its brand image in India with the launch of this full-sized Patrol SUV.
