Suzuki GSX-250R (Gixxer 250) Ready to Launch in India?

Suzuki Motor Corporation is a well known Japanese multinational corporation, which is going to launch a new model bike called, Suzuki GSX-250R (Gixxer 250). Various rumors suggesting that the Suzuki GSX-250R (Gixxer 250) is almost Ready to Launch in India. The Suzuki GSX-250R model is currently being sold internationally.

The 200cc-250cc segment grew by 45% in India and Suzuki is the only manufacturer with no models in the 200cc-250cc segment. A 250cc bike is the current favorite in the Indian motorcycling crowd. Yamaha, KTM, Bajaj and Hero playing well in this segment. The upcoming Suzuki GSX-250R is expected to be powered by 248 cc 2-Cylinder, DOHC, Liquid-Cooled engine.

The maximum power churns out by the engine is 24.7 BHP@8000 rpm and there is also 23 Nm of torque. The fuel tank capacity is 15 litres. There is 290mm brake disc at the front and 240mm brake disc at the rear for ensuring best rider safety. It need to compete with Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Honda CBR250R.

Suzuki earlier launched the Inazuma, which was a good bike with decent performance, but due to various reasons the bike failed to do well in India. Suzuki has success in sales of 155 cc Gixxer and Gixxer SF, as well as with the the Access 125 in automatic scooter segment. The expected price for Suzuki GSX-250R (Gixxer 250) is Rs. 2.90- 3.10 lakh (approx).
