The price of 2014 version will be more than the current running petrol versions. The motive behind the launch of diesel version is low sale figure of petrol variants. Will the Diesel Nano become powerful enough to compete with its rivals Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto?

There will be an aggressive front and rear grill with new shape in diesel model. There will be no much changes to the side profile of new Nano.

Engine Performance and Mileage

Tata Nano Diesel 2014The engine powering this car will be a  800cc three-cylinder turbocharged unit. The efficient engine can churns out 42.9bhp power and  higher torque. The expected mileage figure will be more than 30kmpl. The engine and transmission of the Nano will share similarities with the Ace pickup truck’s drivetrain. The wheels will be made from steels for more appealing looks.

Safety and comfort measures will includes power steering, mp3 player, keyless entry system, glove box, AC, USB and AUX-in ports, music system and stylish new Bluetooth equipped central console.
