Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Announced with Laser Distance Sensor

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum has just announced with appealing specifications and options. Xiaomi just launched this Mi Robot Vacuum which is developed by Mi Ecosystem company Rockrobo. The product comes with a Laser Distance Sensor (LDS). This special feature allow you to scan its surroundings 360 degrees 1800 times per second.

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum key features includes simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm, 12 sensors, support for Mi Home app, option to switch on and control Mi Robot Vacuum remotely etc. Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum comes with total 12 sensors including Laser Distance Sensor (LDS), ultrasonic radar sensor, cliff sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer.

There is LDS developed in-house facility. This allow to scan its surroundings 360 degrees 1800 times per second. This is a similar technology to laser guiding systems on self-driving cars. You have three dedicated processors for real-time mapping and positioning. It supports Use of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm to calculate optimised cleaning paths.

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum packed with Powerful Nidec brushless DC motor (up to 1800Pa air pressure). You have Ultra-quiet airflow option too. The Main brush of the product comes with adjustable height. So you can automatically adjusts height to create tight seal with floor for thorough dirt pick-up on uneven surfaces. 

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum supports Effective side brushing. This is capable to maintains 1cm distance from walls for the side brush to effectively clean near walls. Powering the device is a 5200mAh battery for up to 2.5h cleaning. You can also use Mi Home app to control robot remotely, monitor cleaning progress and path, and set cleaning schedules
