The much awaited Pulsar CS400 is ready to launch in India. This will be launched as Bajaj Kratos VS400 Power Cruiser with appealing specifications and options. The name Kratos stands for the Greek God of war, while VS denotes Vantage Sport. The god known for personification of strength, might, sovereign rule and authority.
This flagship motorcycle from Bajaj Auto showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo 2014. Bajaj Kratos VS400 expected to be launched in this festive season. The Kratos VS400 will be the first product in Bajaj’s family of performance bikes. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 has been caught testing sans camouflage recently during its TV ad shoot at Leh.
Bajaj Kratos VS400 production ready model looks stunning and gets twin instrument console — one on the handlebar and another on the fuel tank and there is also wide tyres. This is packed with options and features like all-black exhaust, newly-designed split seats, disc brakes for both wheels, alloy wheels with a new look etc.
According to reports Bajaj Kratos VS400 available in two variants. These includes the basic version and high end model. The basic model will develop 34bhp, while the high-end version can churns out 43bhp and 35Nm of torque on ride. Both the models powered by a 373.27cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected Engine.
Engine is powerful and efficient which is mated to six-speed transmission for smooth riding experience. There is a chance that the top-spec version of the Bajaj Kratos VS400 will also boast of ABS and slipper clutch as standard. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 borrow its powertrain from the KTM Duke 390 with Bajaj’s DTS-i technology.
Suspension used in this bike is a regular telescopic unit in front. The rear is suspended by a monoshock suspension. So this is the most powerful and expensive Bajaj motorcycle ever made. The bike is estimated to cost around INR 1.5 lakhs, ex-Showroom. Bajaj Kratos VS400 confirmed to launch in India on November 2016.
