Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart 110 has earlier unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Along with that Hero also showcased Xtreme 200 S, design concept bike XF3R, and an electric scooter concept Duet-E. Now hero officially launched the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 bike in Indian market. This is the latest launched 110cc commuter from hero in spender range.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke 110cc engine. It comes with Hero’s i3S technology and makes 8.9bhp power and 9Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox for smooth transmission. This is a fuel efficient bike.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 available to purchase in India for Rs 53,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the second bike from Hero to get the i3S technology (idle start stop system). The bike looks hot and stunning with its special design. Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is developed at its CIT Centre, Jaipur.
The special features – i3S technology allow the engine to shuts itself down after 10 seconds in neutral. If you wanna restart it, just pull the clutch and the motor will come alive again. According to hero the process will be improving the efficiency of the engine. On external we can see come similarities in design with the current-gen Splendor.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 packed with an engine which is positioned more upright now, rather than lying parallel to the ground for best combustion. According to company claim the bike will run 68 kilometres on a single litre of petrol in as per new Indian Driving Cycle.
The Splendor iSmart 110 is also BS IV compliant and is the only one in its segment to be so. There is also new colour schemes, new alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. The headlamp unit of the bike is new as well and gets AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) feature. There is also twin cradle frame with optimised rigidity and new tail lamp unit too. Main rivals of the bike are Honda Livo, Yamaha Saluto RX and the TVS Victor 110.
