Piaggio MP3 – The First Three Wheeled Scooter with ABS: Review 2018

Piaggio MP3 is the First Three Wheeled Scooter which is expected to be launched in India soon. As the name of the vehicle, Piaggio MP3 packed with three powerful wheels which gets ABS and ASR for safety of rider and passenger. Piaggio Mp3 has been the first 3-wheeled scooter in the world. The integrated ABS brake system with ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation) and traction control assures ever best safety and stability on a scooter. 

Powering the Piaggio MP3 493cc, MASTER 4-stroke single cylinder engine which can churns out 39.55 BHP @ 7250 rpm power and 45.5 NM @ 5250 rpm torque on ride. Engine mated to CVT gears with torque server. The scooter packed with Automatic, centrifugal dry clutch option. Available color options includes Blue, Silver, Black. 

Piaggio MP3  features a Double cradle in high strength tubular steel frame. Engine features Electronic injection fuel system and Electronic ignition. It gets 94 mm bore and stroke. Valve system used in this scooter is a powerful Single overhead cam shaft (SOHC) with 4 valves and roller tappets. 

Brakes used are Two 258 mm discs in front and 240 mm Ø disc at rear. Brakes gets Traction Control System and ABS. Suspension used is Articulated quadrilateral – Stroke: 85 mm. Electrical and hydraulic plant to block suspension in front and Dual hydraulic shock absorber with pre-adjusted spring in one of 4 positions – Stroke: 108 mm at rear. 

Aluminium alloy 13″ x 3.00 wheel offers stylish looks. The scooter measures 1550 mm wheelbase and gets a large 12 litres fuel tank. Other features available are Electric Start, pillion foot rest, pass light, pillion grab rail, step up seat and pillion backrest.
