Here is the list of Top 10 Upcoming Bike Launches in India for 2018. These are highly anticipated sports bikes or commuter bikes by Indian youth. These models are from Yamaha, Bajaj, KTM, Kawasaki, SWM etc. All these are powerful and stylish bikes with hot looks. The budget for these sports bike will be little high than regular commuters, but these bikes will surely attract others. Date of launch and technical specifications given here are only tentative.

1. Yamaha YZF-R3 2018

Yamaha YZF-R3 2018 model which expected to be launched in India soon.  Yamaha YZF R3 Sports Bike gets a smooth & strong 321cc inline twin cylinder engine. This can churns out 41.4 Bhp @ 10750 rpm power and 29.6 Nm @ 9000 rpm torque on ride. Engine mated to Constant Mesh, 6-speed transmission. The bike features Wet, Multiple Disc clutch.

Brakes used will be Hydraulic single disc, Ø 298 mm in front. Rear brake is Hydraulic single disc, Ø 220 mm for safety and stability on ride. You have Telescopic forks suspension in front and Swingarm suspension in front. Comfort and convenience options includes Electric Start, Pass Light, Step-up Seat/Split Seat, Engine Kill Switch etc.

2. SWM Superdual 600 Adventure Bike 

The SWM Superdual 600 is the Upcoming Adventure bike in Shades of Silver/Grey. There is High Strength Steel, Double Cradle Frame/Chassis. Powering the bike is an efficient Single Cylinder, 4-Stroke Liquid Cooled engine for best performance. This can makes 57 HP Maximum Power. Fuel System of the bike is Electronic Fuel Injection (MIKUNI Ø 45). There are  12.4:1 Compression Ratio, 100 mm Bore, 76.5 mm Stroke etc. Engine mated to 6 speed gears for smooth transmission.

There is Wet Multiplate Type clutch also. The bike is packed with good safety features. This includes Front Brake of 300mm Fixed Single Disc type. Rear Brake is 220mm Fixed Single Disc type. 3. Jawa 350 Motorcycle

The all new Jawa 350 OHC with a four-stroke engine meets Euro 4 emission norms. The bike features iconic styling of its bikes from the 1970s. The 2017 version equipped with updated mechanical package. Recently Mahindra & Mahindra purchased the brand and the bike may be launched in India also.
The Jawa 350 OHC is the first model to feature ABS. This is powered by a 350 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor.

This is capable of making 26 bhp at 5250 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4750 rpm. Engine is paired to a 4-speed gearbox for smooth riding. The bike capable of attaining top speed of 120 kmph. There is also addition of electronic fuel-injection (EFI), Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS). This is the first ever Jawa motorcycle to get ABS. For safety you have 305 mm front disc and a 160 mm drum brake at rear.

4. Suzuki GSX-250R (Gixxer 250)

The upcoming Suzuki GSX-250R is expected to be powered by 248 cc 2-Cylinder, DOHC, Liquid-Cooled engine. The maximum power churns out by the engine is 24.7 [email protected] rpm and there is also 23 Nm of torque. The fuel tank capacity is 15 litres.

There is 290mm brake disc at the front and 240mm brake disc at the rear for ensuring best rider safety. It need to compete with Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Honda CBR250R.

6. Yamaha MT-03

Yamaha MT-03 naked bike powered by a 321 cc engine. This makes 41.4 Bhp @ 10750 rpm power and 29.6 Nm @ 9000 rpm torque on ride. Engine mated to 6-speed gearbox. Yamaha MT-03 gets Hydraulic single disc, Ø 298 mm in front. Rear brake is a Hydraulic single disc, Ø 220 mm type. Suspension used is Telescopic forks in front and Swingarm at rear. The bike assures 24.4 kmpl mileage on ride. It supports 14 litres fuel tank.

Yamaha MT-03 comes in Matt Silver, Black Metallic, Red Metallic color options. This gets Diamond chassis. There is Tubeless Tyres and alloys. The bike measures 2090 mm x 745 mm x 1035 mm. You have 1380 mm wheelbase and 165 kg weight. This is the much awaiting streetfighter version of YZF-R3 supersports motorcycle. This bike is compact and easy to use. This is the fourth model in the MT range. It need to compete with the Kawasaki Z250, Benelli TNT 300 and the KTM Duke 390.

7. Yamaha Fazer 250

Yamaha Fazer 250 powered by an efficient FZ25’s 249cc fuel-injected single cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine. The engine is capable of making 20.6 hp of power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm ride. This is mated to five-speed gearbox for smooth transmission.

The Yamaha Fazer 250 packed with diamond frame chassis. For safety there is a hydraulic single disc brake at both ends as well as telescopic fork up front. Rear gets monocross swing-arm with adjustable preload. The all new upcoming Yamaha Fazer 250 packed with LED headlamp and tail lamp.

8. KTM 250 Duke

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM  unveiled the much awaited KTM RC 250 sports bike at the 2015 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. This is powered by downsized version of 373 cc engine. This engine can churns out 31 hp of power at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm currently.

These models will be produced at the Bajaj’s Chakan plant. There will be Disc brake with four-pot brake caliper in front and Disc brake with one-pot brake caliper at rear for stable ride. There will be Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) option also. Suspension used in this bike is a 43mm upside down WP suspension in front and WP Suspension at rear.

9. Royal Enfield 750cc

The most awaited Royal Enfield 750cc is almost ready to launch in India. This is considered to be one of the Royal Enfield’s most ambitious bike. Royal Enfield 750cc is one of the best middleweight segment bike. The bike been spotted quite a few times while testing. This also looks identical to the company’s Continental GT model.

It will be the most powerful and advanced Royal Enfield model in its line-up. The bike Expected to be powered by the new parallel-twin engine which can churns out 50 bhp and 60 Nm of peak torque on ride. There will be a 270-degree crankshaft. The bike will packed with 17-inch rim with a 120-section tyre and a 160-section tyre at the rear along with ABS discs on both wheels for safety and stability on ride.

10. Kawasaki Versys X-300

This is the the entry level touring motorcycle from Kawasaki. The bike first unveiled at the 2016 EICMA Show. The Versys 650 and the Versys 1000 available in India. Engine mated to six-speed gears with slipper clutch. There is  41mm long-travel telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike gets a tubular engine guard and a pair of 17-litre panniers. The seat height is 800mm. You can choose from two colours – green and grey.
