The all new Triumph Street Triple RS New Model has just launched in India. Price starts at Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a hot and stylish looking model from Triumph with appealing specifications and options.
The new Street Triple RS powered by an efficient engine which makes 123PS of power. There is advanced electronic packages in its segment. Options includes customisable riding modes, traction control and ABS. The bike is said to be the top-spec, track focused version of the street bike.
This is the second variant of the new-generation motorcycle in the country. Few months ago the base Street Triple S+ trim was launched. You can see a new design with sportier bar-end mirrors and a rear seat cowl. You can choose from silver and black paint options. The ergonomics are remains the same and the bike offers sporty yet comfortable riding experience.
Triumph Street Triple RS New Model packed with well upgraded version of the new 765cc, inline-three engine. This makes 123PS power at 11,700rpm and a torque of 77Nm at 10,800rpm. The power is 10PS more than base S variant. The toque is 4Nm more than the S model.
Engine is mated to a six-speed transmission for smooth riding. There is also bi-directional quickshifter as standard. You can choose from five riding modes (rain, sport, race, rider and track). There is also four level traction control (road, rain, track and off). For safety you have ABS with three level of customisation including road, track and off.
Rider can enjoy sharper handling with the top-class fully adjustable suspension setup. Suspension is Showa USD big piston forks at the front and Ohlins STX40 monoshock at the rear. The bike is 166kg and made with lightweight alloys. Main rivals are MV Agusta Brutale 800, Ducati Monster 821, Yamaha MT-09 and the Aprilia Shiver 900.
