Triumph Motorcycles has earlier unveiled 3 bikes at Auto Expo 2016 in India. These 3 members belong to its Bonneville parallel twin engine family. The list includes Street Twin, T120 and the Thruxton R are this bikes. Now company has launched the Triumph Thruxton R in India for Rs. 10.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This is Triumph’s third bike from the new 2016 Bonneville range. The Thruxton R is powered by a 1200 cc engine which makes 112 NM at 4950 RPM. Triumph Thruxton R available in two colours: Diablo Red and Silver Ice. This is a hot and stylish café racer, which is the flagship model in the British motorcycle marque’s Bonneville range.
Triumph Thruxton R packed with an efficient 1200cc parallel-twin engine that belts out 96bhp at 6750rpm. You will also get meaty peak torque of 112Nm at 4950rpm. Engine mated to six-speed gearbox for smooth transmission. This is the same engine that powers the new Bonneville T120.
Triumph Thruxton R looks stylish with golden color suspensions that acts as a contrasting effect to the bike’s retro colour schemes. You can also see all-new headlight design with DRL, LED taillight, 3D dual clocks on the instrument panel and a neat silver. Suspension used is fully-adjustable Showa big piston forks at the front and fully-adjustable Ohlins twin shocks for the rear.
Triumph Thruxton R also features ride-by-wire options with three different riding modes – rain, road and sport. Other features available are switchable ABS, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch, and liquid cooling. Best braking is offered with twin floating Brembo disc with monobloc callipers at the front and a single disc at the rear.
